Wairarapa wedding photographer: Sian and Kris' White Rock engagement part 2

bride-to-be being piggybacked by her fiancé near a river, Wairarapa wedding photographer

"We have Sarah booked for our wedding, but have just had an engagement shoot done with her and oh my goodness, she is amazing.

Sarah was more than happy (I’d even say excited) to go on an adventure to the beach we got engaged on. An hour and a half drive out of Martinborough on gravel rods, she wasn’t phased!

Once we were out there she was so easy to be photographed by, very relaxed, occasionally giving instructions but otherwise just left my fiancé and I to it.

On our way out we stopped at a decrepit old building that is holds many memories for me and happily followed us and photographed us, we wanted to cross the river and climb a tree, she followed.

Honestly, Sarah is an incredibly talented photographer and a fantastic human being. I can not recommend her enough and if there’s ever a reason I need a photographer in the future she will be my first point of call.

Thank you for providing us with such precious memories Sarah, we are so grateful!! Xx"

-Sian and Kris, 5 star Google review

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Sian and Kris for your kind and humbling words! I just love what I do.

This is part 2 of their engagement photos (check out part 1 here). In part 1 we explored White Rock beach on the wild Wairarapa coast.

In part 2 Sian took her fiancé Kris and I to a special riverside campsite she visited with her late father. On the first day of every school holidays she and her dad would drive the gravel roads to the camp. They spent weeks at a time with his mates going on adventures, fishing, hunting and sharing quality time together. They would then go back home on the last day of the holidays, ready for school the next day.

The camp has seen better days and now has a deer fence separating the cooking shed from the river. But the beam still has Sian's name written there for all eternity.

After sharing special memories at the campsite we crossed the river to see what we could see.

I can't wait to document your backyard wedding next year guys.
