Sometimes being a wedding photographer can be a pretty lonely job. Being recognised as the best Wairarapa wedding photographer; for all the late nights; weekend time away from our family; and imposter syndrome feels just gives us a little pep in our step.

Documentary wedding photography
To be awarded specifically in the category of documentary wedding photography, makes my heart sing. It's something I'm incredibly passionate about, which most people are unaware of.
Documentary photography captures what naturally occurs in front of the camera, without direction, staging or posing. It is not forced or fake.
This style of photography tells your story through the capture of real moments. It documents events you would normally do on that day, even if the photographer wasn't there.
Memories are expertly documented through the photographer's people skills; emotional intelligence; years of experience; use of composition and light; observation, patience and anticipation.
