Top 30 Documentary: Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers 2018, Lucalia Photography

Lucalia Photography Top 30 Australasian Top Emerging Photographer 2018

I am so proud for my "Family Festive" series of photos, to be announced Top 30 in the Documentary category of the 2018 Australasian Top Emerging Photographer Award!

You can see my photos below. They are a detailed look at one families' festive celebrations. Each item has vested and historic meaning stretching across oceans and generations.

Thank you so incredibly much! There were so many amazing photographers who entered. It's such an honour to be recognised in this way.

My selected photos are documentary in style. Documentary photography captures events, places and everyday life as it happens. This means without any interference with the situation.

All wedding photographers employ some documentary photography in order to capture a wedding day.

An example of documentary photography you may be familiar with is the newly married couple walking back down the aisle surrounded by their clapping friends and family. Another is photos capturing speeches at a wedding reception.

I hope you like my series and thanks again!
