I am thrilled to share that I have been named a Finalist in the NZIPP New Zealand Documentary Photographer of the Year 2025. At this year’s NZIPP Iris Awards, I received a gold award, a silver distinction and two silver awards for my work.
For me, this recognition celebrates the heart of documentary photography. It reflects the skills I bring to every wedding I photograph: anticipating moments before they unfold, telling a story through genuine and unscripted images, and creating a collection that feels real, heartfelt and deeply personal.
I would like to thank my wonderful couples for trusting me to tell their stories, my fellow photographers for their encouragement, and my family for their endless support.
The NZIPP (New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography) is the country’s leading professional photography organisation, dedicated to promoting excellence in the industry. The Iris Awards are judged by panels of experienced photographers from around the world. Each image is scored on its own merit, with the highest scoring work progressing through to finalist and category winner announcements.
I am a Nelson wedding photographer and provide outdoorsy couples who hate awkward poses with documentary wedding photography in Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough.
