Arboretum walk with ferns and dappled light

August 20, 2018

I enjoyed a lovely walk recently with family in the Crommelin Native Arboretum at Pearl Beach, NSW.

It was delightful to share our love of photography and this beautiful area.

The arboretum is a 5.5 hectare of native bush with meandering paths, stone steps and timber bridges to discover. We haven't received rain in many months and sadly the wetland section wasn't wet at all. The bridges lifted us over dry ditches. The ferns were still beautifully lush and we saw some cute wrens.

Crommelin Native Arboretum is also a delightfully unique wedding venue. Imagine being married in a clearing, surrounded by majestic trees, with golden light filtering throughout. Green leaves contrasting with the orange bark of the gum trees. So relaxed and comfortable.

I hope you enjoy these few photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
