Wairarapa wedding celebrant and bridal stylist: Aingie Miller at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre

Aingie Miller is a wedding celebrant and bridal stylist who has just moved to Ashhurst. She marries couples in the Wairarapa, Manawatū, Whanganui & Kāpiti.

I first met Aingie at the Wellington Wedding Show a couple of years ago. I was instantly drawn to her creative, colourful style and modern stand. She has a broad smile, loves art and a good conversation. My kind of person!

I caught up with Aingie in the stunning Redwood grove at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre (also a wedding venue!). Interestingly the forest reserve of Pūkaha is half in the Wairarapa and half in the Manawatū.

Of being a wedding celebrant, Angie says: “it is my absolute pleasure to have witnessed love on so many occasions, and to bring my enthusiastic, vibrant and fun approach to a marriage ceremony in the modern day.”.

I asked Aingie what is a bridal stylist? “I work with my brides to ascertain their style according to their personality, what colours suits them the most, and what dress or outfit is most flattering on their body shape, e.g. enhancing your assets (yep we’ve all got them; the parts you love), and hiding the challenges. The styling process is an investment in knowledge. My advice helps ensure you look your absolute best on your special day, but it is always the bride’s decision on the dress.”

"Having a Bridal Stylist is an affordable 4 step process valued at $499. It is my aim to help you find a dress that not only suits you, but one you’ll fall in love with. I also am happy to work with your Bridesmaids (colouring is important when styling a Bride Tribe), and Mother of Bride, or Mother in Law to be.”

Personally, I really wish I had Aingie's expert help when choosing my wedding dress, I really didn't know where to start.

I hope you enjoy these photos of our visit to Pūkaha.
