Wairarapa family portraits at Holdsworth home: Cassie, Ben and Jack

It was an absolute pleasure to capture Cassie, Ben and wee Jack enjoying quality time together at home. They live in a bush paradise right near Mount Holdsworth, Wairarapa.
Jack was only 5 months old at this family portrait session, he's grown so much since! It's been delightful keeping in touch with the family via social media.
Their house is perched on the side of the slopes of the Tararua Ranges, and has stunning views across the valley to the hills on the other side. They have lovingly renovated the property from a somewhat eccentric colour scheme to something more modern, funky and to their taste. Including a lovely framed series of bird paintings from a calendar. Genius!
We started by taking some relaxed photos on the couch inside. Jackets were then donned for a walk down the driveway and we were joined by the dogs. This might sound dull, but when you're surrounded by thick native bush it really is special!
Jack had an outfit change and we hung out in his bedroom for cuddles with mum and dad. Cassie and Ben have decorated his room with some gorgeous details and precious treasures capturing a moment in time. Baby footprints are framed with welcome cards and a first photo.
We took our time and enjoyed each other's company, sharing stories of motherhood, maternity/paternity leave and a love of the outdoors. Working to the pace of Jack and the cool-ish weather.
Thanks so much for welcoming me into your amazing home guys.
